Impact: The previous proposal was for a 72 bed care home - it has now increased to 86. The landscaping documents indicate that approximately 22 trees will be planted. However, this will not meet the expected 30% canopy cover with the ECC are aiming for so another example of new developments not working with the ECC when it comes to the environment. It appears the large Deodar cedar tree has been felled looking at the recent Google map images - so removing a perfectly healthy mature tree for developement seems to be a common trend these days....
