Information: This was planted shortly after the Pink Hawthorn and this was also a replacement for the two mature Sycamore trees that were removed. The Black walnut is a non native species and there aren't many of these about so it's a very welcome addition to the area. Although the flowers aren't very showy the fruit is and will provide extra food for birds, squirrels and other small mammals. No tree guard has been setup yet so this young tree is vulnerable from vandals and dogs.
