The outer bark is brownish / red and quite thin
Its common to see several large curved boughs quite low to the ground

The leaves are formed in flat sprays and each one is about 2 - 3mm long
It is pyramidal in shape, with a broad trunk and dense fern-like foliage

The boughs (large branches) can get to very large sizes
surprisingly the canopy lets in a fair amount of light
