A very small park and aimed for the younger ones. There are no swings or 'big' things to do as such. The park is right at the end of Tappers close and down a small path. It's very close to the train station and one of the entrances is linked to an open pedestrian crossing over the railway lines - so be careful. The park itself is enclosed (mostly) by a metal fence with one gate. There is one bench and one bin, but given the size of the park it's more than enough. There are only two trees within the park which are both Common Ash. On the outskirts of the park are quite a few trees including several more Common Ash, Sycamore, Common Alder and a Black Locust tree. What is interesting about the Black Locust tree is that it has six lots of Mistletoe infection. Be wary of touching Black Locust as it has very long and sharp thorns. There is also a very interesting looking Common Ash on the outskirts of the park - it looks like it has a rather angry face. I often refer to Tappers Close Play Area as the place with the Angry Ash.
