Information: A medium sized Hawthorn tree that appears to be doing okay. No attempt of a tree pit or open ground - just tarmac up to the base of the tree. The pavement is not very wide - but a very small tree pit could still be installed to promote the health and well being of this fine tree. Information: This is a small / medium sized Silver leaved lime tree along the very busy Alphington road. Tarmac has been slapped up against the base of the tree. The side of the crown towards the traffic has been reduced to allow large vehicles to pass without hitting any of the tree. Information: This single Rowan tree has no tree pit despite the pavement being resurfaced. Whilst the works was being carried out to improve the pavement a tree pit could of easily been installed. Instead fresh tarmac was slapped up against it's trunk. This tree has to deal with high volumes of traffic along Cowick street - I think a tree pit is the least we can do for this member of the community.
